Year 4 Resources
We hope you are all well and keeping safe by staying at home. We have put together some more activities (pack 1) for you to work on at home. The most important thing is that you and your family are keeping safe. Try to do what you can but if something is too hard then don’t worry. Don’t forget to use your Education City and Bug Club logins too.
For English, we will be looking at the story ‘The Saga of Erik the Viking’. Unfortunately we will not be able to read chapter by chapter, however we will write down what happens for you in each chapter and create some activities for you to do relating to the chapters.
Or, you can write your own stories, create your own instructions of something you have made at home, keep a diary of what you have been doing each day. ( We would love to know what you have been doing to keep yourselves busy and safe).
For Maths, we have put some ideas in the pack starting with place value and number. We will keep adding to this with following packs. Great games to play for number and place value-monopoly, snakes and ladders, a game you could even make up with a dice and even cooking!
For project, we have put some ideas together and will add to this over the next few weeks but if you want to research something else then go for it! These are just suggestions.
Or use this time to learn about something that we haven’t done in school and that you are really interested in. This could be dinosaurs, knitting, or even gardening. Be creative!
Keep using those art skills- there are lots of tutorials online to help you with drawing. Research an artist and try and recreate one of your favourite paintings/drawings.
For those of you who love computing, the scratch website is free to use and you can use coding blocks to create your own games.
Miss McGrath, Miss Collis and Miss Bole.
